Privacy Policy

The Short Version (Human Readable)
We are an indie developer, not a data brokerage. Our business model is selling software licenses, not selling user data.
- No Spyware: The AudioPrpr desktop app does not contain analytics or "usage tracking." We don't know which features you use or how often you click them.
- Your Data: We only store the information necessary to process your subscription and verify your license (Name, Email, License Status).
- Website Analytics: The website may use Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources, and trial signups. Meta advertising tracking only runs if you allow marketing cookies.
- Third Parties: We use Stripe for payments (we never see your full credit card number), Google Firebase to securely host your account data, Google Analytics for website analytics, and Meta Pixel for advertising measurement when you consent to it.
1. Introduction
Forrester Savell Audio ("we" or "us") provides audio processing software. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information. We believe in minimizing data collection—if we don't need it to make the software work, we don't collect it.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your name and email address to create your unique user identity.
- Payment Information: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information on our servers. We only receive a transaction status and a reference to your subscription type.
- Support Communications: If you contact us for support, we keep that correspondence to help resolve your issue.
2.2 System Information (Strictly for Licensing)
- License Activation: To enforce license limits (e.g., the number of active computers allowed), our server may register a unique, anonymous identifier for your computer (Hardware ID) when you log in. This is only used to validate your license. It is not used to track your behavior, location, or app usage.
To be clear: We do not collect behavioral analytics, crash logs, or "feature usage" data from the desktop application.
2.3 Website Analytics and Attribution
On our website, we may collect page views, referral sources, campaign parameters, and conversion events such as account creation, checkout starts, and trial starts. If you visit with UTM campaign parameters, we may store those parameters in your browser so we can understand which marketing links lead to trial signups.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data solely to:
- Verify your identity and active license status.
- Process your subscription renewals.
- Send you necessary transactional emails (e.g., password resets, invoice receipts).
- Notify you of major software updates (you can opt-out of marketing emails).
- Understand which website traffic sources lead to trial signups and purchases.
4. Data Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We strictly use the following trusted service providers to run our infrastructure:
- Google Firebase (USA): Used for secure user authentication and database hosting.
- Google Analytics (USA): Used for website analytics and conversion measurement when analytics cookies are allowed.
- Meta Pixel (USA): Used for advertising measurement and future retargeting audiences only when marketing cookies are allowed.
- Stripe (USA): Used for payment processing.
We may disclose information only if required by law (e.g., a subpoena), but we will always attempt to notify you first unless prohibited.
5. Data Security
We utilize industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. Your password is hash-protected by Google Firebase's authentication system; we cannot see your actual password. While no service is 100% secure, we utilize best-in-class infrastructure to protect your data.
6. Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, we extend the following rights to you:
- Access: You can see your basic profile data by logging into your account page.
- Deletion: If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us. We will delete your personal information from our live database immediately (Stripe may retain transaction records for tax/accounting purposes as required by law).
- Export: You may request a copy of the data we hold on you.
To exercise these rights, please contact us through our contact form.
7. Cookies
Our website uses essential storage to keep you logged in to your account and remember your privacy choices. If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics may collect website usage and conversion data. If you allow marketing cookies, Meta Pixel may collect website visit and conversion data for advertising measurement and audience building.
You can change your website privacy choices at any time.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy if our practices change (e.g., if we add a newsletter). If we make significant changes, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account.
9. Contact Us
If you have questions about your privacy, please contact us through our contact form.
